Maybe we should get one! Hope you get a break before Christmas hits! Had a great time, but we can't get a campervan big enough for all of us. Last year we hired a villa in spain and our eldest (21) came with us too for the first time in ages. We had a fantastic time, just swimming by day and cards and wine by night. Sometimes you just need to get away to reconnect. It's well worth the effort :) Thanks for sharing.Nikki - A Mother in Francehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10278171772063256779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787939921210451385.post-28206059823850085752011-11-21T21:51:42.296+00:002011-11-21T21:51:42.296+00:00Sherwood Forest is where we go to get back in sync...Sherwood Forest is where we go to get back in synch. Hours of family card games with plenty of crisps and lemonade. Then reading tucked into sleepingbags on our bunks. Occasionally the weather broke and they made us go for a walk and 'appreciate' nature.Midlife Singlemumhttp://midlifesinglemum.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787939921210451385.post-35395556101952464492011-11-21T09:34:32.455+00:002011-11-21T09:34:32.455+00:00Because the kids are so little, we're still in...Because the kids are so little, we're still in survival mode and don't do anything like this yet. From a couple point of view, we have evenings where mobile phones and laptops are firmly switched off so we can reconnect with 'proper' conversation. I used to bring my kids down to a seaside village in Co Wexford in Ireland's sunny south east to escape, but now my eldest is 19, and for other reasons, that no longer works and we have become a bit disjointed. Reading this reminds me that I need to introduce something new to bind us together as a family xLooking for Blue Skyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10010049814419812468noreply@blogger.com
