Back to School Jitters

Less than 3 weeks now until Miss L starts primary school.  Here's what I am thinking...



Have you been there?  Any tips?  Or are you going to be there this Sept?

It doesn't seem that long ago I was in your position, now one is going into second year at secondary and one going into last year of primary. Yes where did all that time go?

You both sound well prepared, your little lady will be fine. The early years are the easy ones :-) xxx

My little boy starts school in September too! I think I might be the most unorganised mother ever, but we do now have shoes and trousers! I'm sure they will be fine. I know Z is really ready for it. xx

Having just been through that very recently, I can say my top tips are as follows:- Name tags on everything in sight, even down to individual socks in the spare clothes bag... you would be amazed as to what disappears at the end of each day! A little note or a smiley face can also work wonders in the lunch box of a nervous small person. Importantly once you drop her off, go and treat yourself to something, whether it's a coffee or a bar of chocolate, or something more substantial, it's a milestone for you too you know! Will be thinking of you, and I am sure she will love it! Emma :)
